冬の朝の空気の冷たさは、頭がすっきりと冴えわたるような心地よさがあるから好きだ。ぶあついコートにマフラーをぐるぐる巻いて、ニット帽で頭もしっかりガードして、朝の散歩。ほどほどに歩いたところで、「COFFEE」の文字が書かれた茶色い看板を見つけた。浅草にあるのに「銀座」を冠した店名の理由は、昔本店が銀座にあったからなのだとか。お腹がぐぅと鳴り、迷わず2階への階段をのぼる。

常連客と店員との気軽な会話と、英語やら中国語やらが飛び交う、浅草の喫茶店ならではの雰囲気。にんじんの花が咲くモーニングセットに、こっくりと濃いコーヒーをおともに、本を読む。
